Banff
We strongly suggest stopping in Banff if you haven’t been there before – take a walk through Main Street, eat delicious food and browse the tourist shops. For a picturesque view of Banff – follow signs to Tunnel Mountain
Scenic Drive:
Turn off HWY 1 to Bow Valley Parkway.
This is a stop-and-smell-the-roses kind of drive with incomparable views of the Canadian Rockies.
You can stop at Johnston Canyon – a paved trail and exciting cat walks cling to canyon walls (walking time: 30 min to lower falls, 1hour to upper falls)
Driving Directions:
1) Turn off onto HWY 1A after passing Banff.
2) Make sure to exit onto HWY 93 South (TO RADIUM) – before you get to Lake Louise

Hiking
There are lots of options if you want to stop for a small or long hike on your way up to Invermere. See the attached map for locations of trails!
1) Paint Pots Trail (1.5km one way ~ 30min to 1hour) – Just off Hwy 93
2) Stanley Glacier (4.2km one way ~ 4hours round trip) – Turn off Hwy 93 South, 13km west of Castle Junction
3) Marble Canyon Trail (0.8km one way) – Just off Hwy 93
